So I want to go for some 3" expansion down pipes and test pipes but since I am in CA, have to deal with the whole smog thing. Seems like everyone's solution is just swapping in their stock TP's for the smog test then swapping back. I dont want the hassle so was thinking about cutting off some 3" test pipes and use a reducer to connect it to my stock cats for a permanent solution. Would the 3 feet of 3" pipe give me enough benefits for the hassle or is this just a dumb idea in general?
